Gender Differences

to three day train-the-trainer workshop available at your business

Workshop Objectives
· Work with women and men more effectively
· Create a work culture that fosters a partnership between
men and women
· Illustrate ways to minimize conflict and misunderstandings
between men and women and maximize the benefits of working together
Workshop Elements
· Identify male and female socialization messages, which
define gender culture
· Identify how perception occurs and how socialization affects
cross-gender perceptions
· Identify how gender differences affect men and women's
communication and perspectives of the work world
· Identify one's own actions and reactions that lead to miscommunication,
possible hostile work environment, and other barriers to creating
a productive work environment
· Identify four communication styles that affect actual and
perceived miscommunication
· Learn gender differences in communication (based on research)
· Identify tools for reducing conflicts in communications
· Identify personal values that affect one's work and perception
of the other gender at work
· Develop an action plan to change or modify behaviors, communication,
and interactions with others by helping
men and women to look beyond stereotypes and recognize each other
as individuals
